Go with 80 if you got money to spend. Go all out or none at all. If you get the lower one youll regret later when you are continuously deleting songs to add new ones why you didnt listen to good ol' koshak and get the 80g
I would say wait 2 months. By that time the price will be down about $50 on both, and there may even be something new and better out that you want to get. I made the mistake of buying an iPod as soon as I had the money for one. 2 weeks later, it was down $50. Every iPod device that apple sells has gone down $50 about every 4-5 months. And since it has been a couple months since the iPod Video went down, it shouldn't be too much longer. Just give it time. Buy it as soon as the price goes down.

haha i randomly purchased a 30 gig when they came out.. bit mistake (luckily i realized before i could take it back) i thought i'd be able to fill it up no prob.. yeah not so easy i had like 300 songs on and realized i listend to like 20 of them and i had one video and it took me sooo long to put it on.. and i was like **** this its to much hassle.. and i took it back cause it was bascially 350 bucks that is doing the same thing as my mp3 player is doing.. and i mean it wasn't worth it to me.. cuase seriously who listnens to over 100 songs at a time even.. i dunno just my opinion i think 8 gig would be good.. store some pics.. andmusic and crap.. i have ****ty luck with ipods i just bought a 512 mb shuffle from a buddyh and i already had to get my money back cause i had bad luck and it wouldn't work for me so i'll just stay away from apple
Thanks guys, later on today I hope to get it. I figure I cant really put videos on it anyways as my computer does not have a DVD drive and im not going to buy movies for $10 on itunes to watch on a 2inch screen lol. But I did download some podcasts already.I think im going to do 8, if I want to upgrade I can always sell it to my buddy.

either way, iPod = good decision for portable mp3 player
I've got a mini that's going on 3 years old, plus an 8GB iPhone, and my wife and I are thinking of getting her a 8GB nano, or something similar with my $100 coupon for being an early iPhone adopter
