Man, I gotta tell you guys, sanding down fiberglass isnt as easy as it looks. especialy if its got 2 coats of thick paint on it.

I wont be towing it anytime soon though lol. But man its a bitch to sand... plus the paint and fiberglass get up all in my clothes and stuff. Oh well... itll be super coolio once its done.

 

Jeez... some of the people are really hating on what Im doing with my boat at the sunfish forum I found and joined. They are calling the hatch I made a porta potty and everything. Im somehow missing something. Maybe what Im doing to my boat is like cutting a classic mustang in half and welding a truck bed to the end of it to them. Another told me I might as well add a "grapefruit shooter and neon lights under the hull". I dunno. This boat will look bad *** once its done. It will be like a S.U.B. (sport utility boat). And as far as I am concerned, itll be the first versital sunfih out there.

Lol. I guess they take it that way. I myself can wait till its done. Catchin some wind with an iced down 12 pack of beer in the sealed cool... yea. DNR would never stop me because, whos gonna stop a sunfish in su****ion to beer?

Here are the updates as promised. Dry storage complete. The f/g job doesnt look all that great but I dont care, as long as it keeps shish dry and doesnt hint its ugliness from above which doesnt.

Part one of the cooler is done with the rectangular hatch on top. Part 2 will be sealing it off from the **** pit with a sheet of plastic, then sealed off. Next step, sanding the **** pit down and then the paint job.

Bucket finished. The strip of fiberglass on the bottom is to keep the new resin from getting into the ditch of the boat that leads to the drain.
