Anyone know if it is truely a law or where I can go to find out if it's a law that the insurance company has to replace my bumper with oem part if I request it? I'm getting the run around with them and I wanna be armed with proof.... I don't want an aftermarket bumper and everyone keeps saying that they have to replace it with oem it's the law but the adjuster says different!

 

as far as i know you insurance company will NOT replace aftermarket parts, they will only pay for the OEM part thats damaged.

 

Why yes I happen to know a little about insurance! They happen to be the biggest legal scam in the world!


Call ANOTHER insurance company, actually 2 more to get 2 opinions. Then once you get the answer, call your insurance company back up and state that you have proof. It also hurts the value of your car so they cant do it.

 

You mean, you want a genuine Honda bumper instead of a cheap knock-off right? Because, yes, they have to if you tell them they have to. My old car got whacked pretty good once and they were going to give me cheapo stuff and I said hellll no so they fixed it with Honda parts.

And Fran i think that they will only replace the part with the OEM one unless you had an aftermarket one on it before and the car was insured with it with that part included[:'(]
