I want to buy a b16A off this site but dont know if it is a good site, do yall know, and also I am getting a b16A obd-0, it should be able to mount into a 00' civic ex right, we are making it a odb-1

no, you dont want to mess with an OBD0 one. it will end up costing more and being a HUGE headache to ge tto work in your OBD2 car. get at least an OBD1 or an OBD2. the OBD2 would plug-n-play with your car, the OBD1 will just need an adapter harness. as far as future mods go, converting to OBD1 will be a little better. OBD2 spews trouble codes when modded heavily. anyways, the obd1 b16 has higher compression than the others, so it makes a little more power.

 

I only have $1570 and I need a motor cause I have to go to work and its goin to be the motor,ecu, and tranny, should it matter, even with a replacment ecu.

there are a bunch of problems with that swap. i know how you feel, i was in the same position when i blew my dx motor. see if you can get a small loan from the bank or something. just dont get in over your head. i know it sucks, but maybe you could get a cheap *** d16y7 to get you around till you can get the B.
