RAVELCO
ANTI THEFT DEVICE

To date, even after 29 years in business and 3.5 million installations worldwide, not one vehicle has ever been stolen by defeating a properly installed and utilized Ravelco Antitheft Device.

Read that!!! 3.5 million installations and not one car stolen.... Now thats what i call security

29 years and over 3.5 million installs, and d*mn near no one on this forum or prolly elsewhere has ever heard of it? Kind of sketchy. The general idea makes sense though. It's like a kill switch for each individual electronically controlled part of your car. I like the part where they talk about all the wires being black. How'd you like to be a theif and cut into that harness and just stare at it, and the only thing you can think of is "W? T? F?" If I was the theif, I would just start laughing, cuz that would be a stupid problem to have! ("Alright, this wire goes here; and THIS wire goes here. Hmmm.")

EACH ONE IS INDIVIDUALY MADE AND NOT 2 KEYS ARE ALIKE. OUT OF 35 MILLION NO TWO KEYS WILL WORK THE SAME! CALL UP AND GET ANOTHER ONE.... HA!

i bet its just a cut in the ignition wire that is bridged by the 'key'. i dont think it'd be that hard to bypass

You guys arent reading the whole page. There are 36 pins that bridge multiple electronic systems in your car, so there are thousands of possible combinations and only one will work, so up to 4 systems need to be bridged, its possible to crack it but it would be trial and error and take forever. plus its all black wires protected by a steel colum. You can order a new key but it is coded so you would have to have the key code for them to send you a new one just in like all newer cars with coded keys. Sounds like a brilliant idea, but i have never heard of it like everyone else. Plus it didnt give any info on retailers and installers. If it was $100 plus install i would be all over it.

oh i get it. but i still think its probably just a break in the ignition wire and you could just cut the line and wire it together
