My grandfather got a 95 mitsu expo a few months ago with some front end damage. He bought another one from a junkyard and is taking the engine out of it. He wants to go performance with it so I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on what to do with it... It should be a fun project. All I really know right now is that it's a 2.4. Is there any swaps we could do... like the mini-me's for our cars or anything? I cant wait to see a fast mini van... lol.

go performance in a 1995 mitsu expo....interesting..

i would guess that the engine in that, if it is a 2.4L, is probably a 4g64, which shares an engine family with the 4g63Ts found in Evo, eclipses, talons, etc..

as far as i know, the 4G64 was the only 2.4L engine mitsu has used...

but ask around at www.mitsubishiforum.com and see what they turn out...

 

The 2.4 is the 4G63 and yes it is the only engine offered by Mitsu that is a 2.4.

all mitsu engines have potential...

and i believe that there is a head swap available with the 4g63T found in the Evos and such...
