I have a trick, go to driving school. just kidding, but on a serious note, read up on three key things. Tire Usage, Racing Line, and Car Control. Then do what I do, go out and find a nice sharp hair pin or even just a regular corner, and practice (It's best to look in industrial parking lots and side roads, I don't recommend doing it in heavily populated areas). Or you ca even just go to Autozone and spend 10 bucks on 5 cones, you could set up all kinds of different corners and practice that way.

i suggest raising the tire pressure a good amount. some ppl like it higher or lower in the front or rear. personally i like it about the same all around. if ur gena practice, find a big parking lot and just do it away from curbs and cars...when practicing, listen to ur tires. if they squeal alot, ur taking it to fast around a turn, if they are on the edge of squeeking or u hear just a tiny squeek, then ur going just the right speed. keep ur eye atleast 1-2 cones ahead. take the first run as a slow practice run to get to know the course and figure out ur line. if this is ur first time then dont worry to much, just hav as much fun as u can, and trust me, u'll be hooked

i made the mistake of trying to go as fast as possible the first run. i walked the track about 3 times, and still got two off corses. so remember to take the first time around slower, to make sure you know where your goin, then try and do it fast. the trick about tire pressure is to take tire chalk, or mabie any chalk, and whipe a block on the edge of the tread and sidwall about an inch down. after the first run, check it out and if its hitting the sidewall, its underinflated, if its not hitting the edge tread much, then you need to let some out.
