payments would be at least 200/mo. not bad, but that EK would hand the new Si its ***. though I still would consider a new Si since its within range, and it would be a brand new, pretty fast car.

With the 06 she will get more potential, a warrenty, more tq, a LSD, possably navigation. To me this is a no brainer. I would rather use that as a down payment and pay payments for a year or so and have a new car than plop it all on a 6/7 year old civic that will do nothing but loose value.

Its common knowledge that a new car depreciates its value quicker than a used car.

True but trade in value is a different thing. The 06 is just a better value at the price dude wants for the EK. Your talking about a 5/7 year old civic and your gonna buy it for only $3000 or so less than it sold for at the dealer brand new. I dont care what mods are done to it. Also another thing for me is I would not buy somebody elses "project" as you never know everything about it as you need to.

Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

or she could take the money and go get a rsx type s with a k20 in it and only owe a little money, no offense but I dont think I would ever buy another civic I want either a wrx or rsx.
