civic tops most stolen list
yeah i had that same insurance problem, evenually found a place to get it for cheap and still have full coverage but i thought it was just me haha HEY WE DRIVE POPULAR CARS....haha umm good for us?
They are a lot easier to steal than American cars, up until recently most Hondas and Toyotas werent equipped with Sentry Keys which is a big theft deterent. Most American cars have that feature, which is a big reason why American cars are stolen less than Jap cars.
Its not because they are everywhere, its because they are so goddamn easy to get. Whenever i lock my key in my civic, or even my trunk...no worries lol I can get into that bitch faster than a rabbit gets f cked. lol

When I was installing the remote starter on my dad's GMC truck I found out about Passkey. Not a fun to time if you're trying to hotwire a car, which is basically what a remote starter does. Honda Civics didn't have the same for of security feature to 2001, so that might have something to do with it.
i don't know, but ever since my civic was stolen in february, i changed all the locks, put an alarm, and steering wheel quick release, "all which should have been done when i first bought it from my brother." lately in my town, hondas have been getting stolen left and right and found in rhode island trashed. even this elderly couples 92 accord which was rusted to ish, but had some original alloys which probably attracted someone. i wish the cops would catch the bastards already.
when we got project EG hatch, the owner tried to take the car from his son and his son tried to start it with a screw driver, messed up the tumbler...anyways when we got it i pulled the tumbler out with a dent puller and took the contact plate off and started it with my house key....i thought to myself...these cars are sooooo easy to steal!!! but i would never do it, even tho i figured out how
All those lists are relative. Some dont even refer to a year. NICB has a good website that tells you by state the year and model.
