I got the papers for trial by written declaration, and my deadline is oct 17. should i try to get it in as soon as possible? the judge gave me about a month (i received the papers last money on the 19 ish.) will the judge read the papers as they come in or what? i don't want her (yes, its a her...) to get the impression that i'm a slacker. i've been REALLY busy lately...

I'm sure the judge (if it's the judge who even reads the stuff) goes through hundreds of these things a day... she won't think you're a slacker. She's not your 7th grade English teacher.

I'd send it in now anyways, just to get it over with.
