Default Daniel Kinno

Has anyone ever heard of Daniel Kinno? He is a comedian who was born in the Ukraine and moved here to the States. Well he came and spoke at my college, but he showed up 45 mins late. Well they were going to talk to him, but he said he was ready to go on. So they let him. This was one of the funniest comedians I have seen. His material related great to college students, but some people were offended. I however do not get offended so I was cracking up the whole time. So I would recommend going to see him if he is around you. What made me mad though was that the college ended his act early because too many people were coming up saying they were offended. As a college I would think they could research and find out about his material. We will not see him back to the college which is such a disappointment. I am pretty disappointed in the college for what they did. What are your thoughts HCF?

I think it is a college's responsibilty to check up on who they are going to hire for a show before they perform... they could have had a copy of his act (or similar acts) and decide if he is appropriate for the venue. If the performer is known to offend, then the college is stupid for not knowing that ahead of time. If they booked him they should let him perform.

I am a strong believer that if you are offended, leave. Kicking a person off the stage is embarrasing for him and an embarrasment to the school. If you stand up and walk away NO ONE CARES... but if you're on stage and someone grabs you, then it is a different story.

I'm with peg everyone has to find something to complain about in life instead of just enjoying it!

I am the type that can get offended easily but when I am offended I will just walk away. There are even some threads on this forum that are sometimes offensive but I LEAVE THEM ALONE! What does complaining do other than satisfy your own selfishness? If it was something you cant avoid like a naked picture greeting you at the main page of the forum, then protest would be acceptable, but seriously, sometimes things are funny.
