the LAN situation was the same with me and rainbow six. we'd do co-op stuff over a LAN connection. id play cs at my friends house a lot online too.

i was never a big fan of the alternate red alert stories (the ones with nations instead of GDI v. NOD) but i will admit...Generals was awesome as ****.

ive never played homeworld but ive heard of it and it sounds awesome. i'll have to pick up a copy when i get a new computer.

i played Age of Empires a lot too.

 

you can pick up a copy of homeworld now for like $15, i highly recomend it too

 

thats what i love about all those old RTS games. theyre cheap as hell and a lot more fun than a ton of the games around here now. even if the AI sucks in them.

 

the AI in Homeworld isnt the most advanced there is, but when set to hard it is practically friggin impossible to beat it. i was amazed on how they set up the back story as well when reading through the manual that came with it... very indepth
