He didn't say anything about the driver in front of you. He said that if you have a radar detector, when the cop shoots you with the gun your radar goes off and you've already been caught. That is correct. But if the cop shoots the car in front of you, your radar goes off and there is enough time for you to slow down.

 

That is not always true. I have seen and heard of cops pulling over multiple vehicles. Even though it is rare it still happens. I watch traffic in front of me and you can usually tell if there is a cop by watching traffic. Not failsafe but then nothing is really.

 

I've been gotten a few times like that. Especially with laser, they can hit you 4 or 5 times with it before you realize what's happening.

 

ahh yes but the good thing about the Escort passport 8500 X50 is that if it detects VG2. it will automoatically power it self off. after a few secs it will turn it self back on but in stealth mode. if it still detects it it will turn itself off again. i went through VA once. it was kinds kool.

I got hit by laser in nashville once. LAZER!!!LAZER!!!! i started flipping out. b/c i thought they had got me. they jumped in their car and started moving towards us. I was like oh ****. i looked back. blues. crap. the sqad car pulls up behind me i move over he overtakes me and grabs the tibby. i was so ****ing lucky. so they do help a little bit. and then sometimes you really cant help getting caught.
