I'm not talking about the Solstive with the 175hp engine, which is hardly slow considering the forum we are on. But a 7.0l supercharged v8 in a solstice, if you can't see a sub 10 second car as fast, you truely are a blind domestic hater. That car would give a s2000 a 5 second headstart and still end up raping it.

i only drive domestics...
and it looks like its time for one of Professor Patrick's "lessons in drag racing for the paper racers".
Lesson One: putting a 1000hp engine in a car doesnt mean that it will run Anything. There are so many upgrades that are needed to support the added weight alone, plus the substantial work that must be done to the chassis to hold up to the added torque and horsepower. Also, when you can only fit say, a 10" by 24" tire under teh *** end, even with a pure drag racing slick, its going to be a NIGHTMARE to hook up.
Lesson Two: You cannot just "drop in" a LS2 into a Kappa Platform vehicle. There is ALOT of work that goes along with it to make it possible. Considering the cost of the car itself, plus the cost of the engine, and all of the labor and parts involved with making it fit, INCLUDING a new trans/ driveshaft / rear diff., I could put together a civic that would leave that piece of ugly GM trash in the dust, or even better, for a FRACTION of the cost of converting that slowstice into an LS2 car, I could take that money, buy a few things for my current track car, and stomp it.
Lesson Three: It is unwise to call me a domestic hater, seeing as how i only drive domestics right now, and if it was not aimed for me, you should learn how to use the reply to button, and direct your posts to the proper person.
