contac the seller, show them the picture of the damaged item, check the auction to see if there was any "all sales final" or something, or if they refund. I've had quite a few ebay companies refund/replace stuff though
Yea eBay sellers usually reimburse you no problem, even if it's the shippers fault.
Most sellers on eBay actually don't use shipping insurance through the shipper, they just give you the optional insurance and if you get the insurance and the stuff is lost or damaged, they just replace it. This makes it a lot easier as the seller does not have to do any special things dealing with insurance whenever they are packaging up their items. The main reason for this is that it is time consuming, and also the fact that most packages reach their destination and don't get damaged.
Truthfully shipping insurance is just a way of making some extra cash... the shipping companies charge money for insurance and they make that money through the seller without even having to do any work to earn the money. Sellers know this and instead offer the service of insurance out of their own pockets rather than the shipping companies so that the seller can make the profit from the insurance in the normal event where the package is delivered and is not damaged. Basically, the seller is acting as an insurance company as a way of making extra profit. Also, by doing this, in the event the package is lost or damaged there is a lot less hassle because the seller does not turn into the middle man between the buyer and the shipper/insurance, and the issue can get resolved more promptly.
To sum it all up, when sellers act as the insurer they make additional profit and business is smoother. They have more control over their business.

definatly keEP ALL THE PACKING, snap a picture if posible and simply call your local UPS to file for damaged package.
ive had to deal with a few destroyed shipping accidents or maybe accidents i know my parts where really jacked up!
they could either have a truck come out to check it out or have to take the package to a UPS location.
will take some time depending on the seller... some sellers will be nice and hurry up and ship out a replacement.... some make you wait until there claim has ran its course

well the seller refunded the money already so now I'm just out the $22 COD charge and i suspect ill have to go through ups for that... I can order another set from the company now though I dont know if they want their broken set back? otherwise if anyone needs a pretty slick wiring harness and such its brand new! the lights are just jacked up im sure you could run it to another set of aftermarket fog lights
