Election Day
Pulaski County went blue, but the rest of the state went red for the most part.
What are the demographics of the city you live in? Little Rock used to be a hub for gang activity. Still is, but not as bad... The demographics explain the gunfire. I'll leave it at that.

I think Roto's saying that your home state was not about to let itself get screwed in a presidential election a second time. You must be pretty happy about the outcome. How's your Dad taking the defeat?
My dad's pretty moderate so he's not too upset about it. He doesn't think he's going to like it, but I think Obama is going to do a good job and my dad will change his mind.
I'm definitey very happy. I think Obama can bring this country together to solve its problems and I think we have just entered a new era of politics, in which a younger generation has taken the helm and can do what is needed well due to a better understanding of the age we are in. It seems that the older generation, which has done well in the past, no longer understands the times as well as a younger generation who has grown up in this more modern time and it is simply time to start passing down the government to the new generation. I anticipate the results of what will happen.

I thought McCain gave a very gracious concession speech. It was just the right tone to help bring the country back together again.
I agree, McCain's speech and hopefully his future actions will redeem him from the for-the-most-part low road campaign he has run. He is a good guy, but based on his campaign I could not have willingly had him as president if his campaign was a representation of what his presidency would have been like. I wish him luck, and hopefully he will be an independent thinking senator like he has been before.
McCain didn't do that crap in the campaign the people behind him did. He hated that it went that route. If McCain would have acted like he does normally through out this election insted of acting like a deer caught in the headlights he would have won.
I am one of the few that think both people would do a great job in office.

I think both would have done a good job in office, but I think Obama will do better. Also, the choice of Palin by McCain really strengthened my support for Obama. McCain is a great guy, and his speech showed what he really thinks, after setting aside all differences.
