Default elephant insurance con

been with elephant insurance for 11 or so years now,

i asked a few weeks back what it would cost to change my car to the new car on the policy (the civic coupe) and was told £17.50 this is an admin charge, so i call up yesterday to get it changed from saturday, the cost went down to £10.80, so i call up tonight as i can pick the car up tomorrow and find im now being charged both the £17.50 and the £10.80, bring the total now up to £28 odd, i think this is very wrong, as how can i be charged for both for adding 3 days, they have not even issued the certificate yet, i have the email copy but not the paper one.

this is one very easy way to lose a customer that has been with you for 11yrs, come renewal time im thinking i mite change insurance companies

right rant over.

edit: just got acall back from the manager and he has droped the £17.50 meaning that i now only have the pay the £10.88, to be covered from mid-night, so all going to plan i should have the car tomorrow night, mite take a few night shots.

The only input I have here, is that Insurance, as a whole, is the biggest ****ing scam EVER. Always keep your eyes on the documents your providor sends, shiesty bastards

Also, Congrats on the car upgrade!

Yea I agree. I deal with Farmers Ins. & thank God I have little trouble. I believe that insurance is only as good as your agent. That is why I don't use online companies without agents.
