heh heh, no need to disguise it, I hate Xbox. I've tried to play it a number of times and absolutely hate the feel of the controllers. If they redid they're controllers, I wouldnt mind, hell its got fantastic graphics.

phoenix_gtr, from what I hear, the PS3 is not going to cost $700. But, I suppose we'll see

There are going to be 2 different versions of the PS3, one with a 60 gig hard drive and a few other goodies, and one with a 20 gig hard drive.

The 60 gig is going to cost 600 dollars

The 20 gig is going to cost 500 dollars.

and the blu ray is far superior to the DVD HD disc.

...On the Differences Between the 20- and 60-GB PS3 Models
"The main differences are the 60 gig drive and the 20 gig drive in terms of disc storage. The 20 gig has HD component rather than HDMI. The 60 gig machine has additionally memory card slots on it, which are great for archiving photo and other content. But the 20 gig machine has USB ports so you can get all the functionality with external devices."

...On Whether the 20-GB PS3 Will Fully Support Blu-Ray
The $599 60 GB PS3 (top) looks different from the $499 20 GB PS3 (bottom)

"That seems to be a misunderstanding and I'm happy to clear that up. Both machines have Blue Ray disc as standard. Both machines play Blue Ray disc movies as standard. Both machines will play Blue Ray disc movies as HD. The only difference is that the high end machine uses a more convenient digital interconnect called HDMI which is a digital standard and the 20 gig unit uses HD component which is an analog standard. The picture quality is fantastic."

"The end user will not notice any quality difference. Perhaps if you were projecting onto a gi-normous screen you might notice some difference, but also not every HD display has HDMI. So we're providing a choice to the consumer."

"Both versions will support 1080p."

thats why i really dont like the gamecube either. i have big hands (stretched i can reach a 10th on a piano...that is...from a C, up an octave to a C, and then a E above that) so i love the xbox controller. have you played the new 360 yet? that controler is sex. it feels like the smaller, redesigned xbox controller but it has two triggers like the PS2 for each hand, but the second one is recessed so its further back where your middle finger naturally would sit on the regular xbox controller. its pretty badass.

anyone know what the HD size is on the 360?

Ive played the 360, its a nice system, COD2 is amazing, but i think the extra time Sony took to release the PS3 is REALLY going to pay off.

i only know one person with one. beleve it or not he won it in a city-wide Halo 2 tourney for it. it was a team tourney back right before the 360 came out, two people per team, one team vs another...that whole thing where it works down into two final teams. i think there were about 250 teams that entered. long story short my friend and his friend wins. first prize was a free xbox 360 system. this kid is godly good at halo. now...im pretty well rounded in all video games on all systems...i can usually hold my own on most FPS, RPG, and racing games...and Xbox is my best system...but i played this kid when i first met him in halo 2 and he beat me 50 to 7 on my best map. hes crazy good.

I personally own the 360 and ps2. Unlike 40 the most I like about the xbox is the controller. It's little hard to get used to at first but then nothing else is even close to it ( espeacially at FPS game, while ps2 controller is more arcade friendly). For the PS3, the $499 version lacks HDMI, wireless controller, wifi and card reader, not so many people would like it, just like the 360 core system. So $599 PS3 is your choice plus $30 tax and a $70 game (cant play w/o game can u?)---->$700. That's the least price you're gonna pay. If ur living in UK or Europe it'll more than $1000. I've have seen all the PS3 trailer/demos and it's hard to say that PS3 would kick the 360's *** in graphic (it's very identical). I was gonna buy a PS3 along w the 360 but now it's not necessary and the Nintendo Wii is gonna be under the Christmas tree.
BTW, the motion sensor in PS3 is nothing special and not many game will support it, the Wiimote? that's real motion sensor.
Edit: there's rumor that the 360 is gonna drop $100 by this holiday but I wouldnt say anything about that, gotta go tune my R34 and take it to the online drag stripe now.
