Fram is garbage. End of story. The worst part about fram is it's paper, and paper strands come off the filter and clog the oil nozzles. bammo, blown engine.

I've personally witnessed it on two vehicles, not my own.

i have always used fram and it never got messed up on me, but now that i hear these stories, i am thinking twice. What kind of oil filters do you guys use?

i agree i dont care for fram ether but why is it frams fault that you left/put 2 gasgets on ? its a comon mistake i see ppl do it all the time its just one of those things you should alwas double check

wow, my dad and i always use fram....makes me double think about using them again. Maybe just fork up some more money and buy something that is actually good. BTW, my car needs an oil change.

well, i hope your motor isnt ****ed, on my old car, the oil filter almost fell of, i never thought to check y my car was loosing oil so fast, i thought it was my head gasket, but i went to get an oil change, and they said it was off about a half inch, so, i hope everything is ok, good lucj with that claim!!!

stop bashing fram... its a good company... i always take my finger with a few drops of oil and rub over the orings/threads to make sure everythings golden...

just be careful

iv heard people say its good to put oil on the new one, and every time i look where it rides, its covered in oil, so i dont even bother. i use ACDELCO filters from work, i dont know how nice they are, but i do know that fram filters tend to have the gasket fall off or stay on the vehicle, while GM filters allways stay on the filter.

I have never used Fram filters because they filter a bit to much. They slow down oil flow and drop oil pressure, I have allways used Mobil 1
