the federal government would never let the world's largest automaker go under. too many jobs and too many local economies would be affected.

If it gets that bad, you can almost bet that the government is gonna bail GM out
With what money? Secondly, I imagine Toyota would keep many of the plants and jobs in place. The employees would still be getting paid, but the profits would be going trans-Pacific. It would be a step towards a global monopoly which they would make huge off of. As for the government looking bad, I doubt there's much else it could do to make it look worse.

Every Gm vehicle I have ever owned has been a worthless piece of crap.
I'm going to infer, by that statement, that you have indeed owned more than one of said GM products. Which begs the question...why?

Keeping on pace with the Chevy bashing, I will say that the one time I drove a Chevy, I nearly hurled all over the car. I was driving around a Cavaqueer and the lack of acceleration made me vomit in my mouth a little. I could've put together a better car with glue and popsicle sticks. Ohh, and of course, my mantra: LS-what?

With what money?
the U.S. has the world's largest economy with an annual budget in the trillions. dropping a billion or two on GM would be a drop in the bucket...

Not really a fair comparison between what honda wants to do with cars and what chevy wanted to do with the LS7.

As far as motors go, the LS7 is pretty good especially for the money.
