I live in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, near Baltimore, and we got around 10 inches I'd say, but the real bitch about it was, the power was out for 20 hours.

honestly, I doubt its THAT much bigger of a deal, other than the fact that people down there aren't as used to it. And it aint like we don't have hills here, lol. This winter has just been suprisingly mild, but usually we get snow every night, for months. That's why it makes me laugh to see people go nuts about the few inches they got overnight.

I dont know about that, when I say hills I mean hills that give you a tough time when it's raining. Put it this way my cities elevation is 3000 feet. I live 1/4 mile or so from the city limits, my house's elevation is 3700 feet. Nose bleed stuff here. Like I said I live in the middle of the biggest mountain range on the eastern side of the U.S.

this winter has sucked for snomobuilers. we havent had more than 4" on the ground at once. its been snowing steadily, but gets warm out within two days after and melts it all.

Yep, that's the bull**** right there! As far as snowmobiling, we've had to drive at least an hour and a half north everytime we want to go. Last winter we kept our sleds at my buddy's house on the north side of the city. We would just hop on them right there at his place, and drive 5-10 miles till we were out of the city, and smack dab in the middle of the trails
