sorry for the confusion Ill try to staighten it out:

The SRT4 is not driven by enough people who carry the necessary skill for it to get respect at anything but a roll race. and its a shame. The Majority of the people who are driving these cars are young, dumb, and dumber.

Most people who have the skills, dont want to drive them, because its not THE GREATEST platform. If i had my choice Id be driving an ITR around the AutoX course. However in the hands of an experienced driver you are going to see some good showings out of the car on a track.

I never said the srt4 was some super car, lol, but you guys throw it to the side saying "damn its fast in a straight line, but forget it in the turns" when thats complete bullsh t. The car is as capable in the turns and braking as it is in the straight aways.

so sorry if my defending the car, which 95 percent of people know jack sh t about comes off as me being a little biased. Go on the SRTforums, Im CONSTANTLY defending cars like the WRX and the ITR.

its not the best car for autox. but you put that same srt-4 on a larger track against cars designed for autox like a mini, it is clearly the better car, driver skill being equal.
agreed for the most part. driver skill being equal, stock for stock, the mini should do better than an srt4 in a technical autox course. the minis are very light, low center of gravity, nimble cars. they can get around a turn and slaloms very easily. the srt4 should do better on large road course because they have fairly long straights where the srt4's power gets the advantage...

im not picking one over another cuz each have their pros and cons, as with every other car in the world... IMO their both amazing machines, personally i'd take the cooperS.

mini coopers are not light, they weigh probalby as much as an srt4

how much do mini's weigh?

My SRT4 weighs in around 2930 with me in it.

I love it!! Im getting the front windows tinted tomorrow and im looking around desperatley for a set of springs to get the ride height down a little bit.

I havent stepped on it fully, but the thing just RIPS!

You've got to be kidding me. Although, not as light as they look they're still light. 2500 lbs is about the average for a Cooper and 150-200 lbs more for an S.

I love the lists of G & H stock SCCA classes, I gurantee there's more Neon's than MINIs competing though.

I'm done with this though. In the spring if you want I'll meet you in W. Mass. and we'll do a couple runs, by then I'll probably have the equipment to run you heads up. No more internet racing for me. Back on topic...

yah I'm down, dont know how well a 650+whp GT35r SRT4 will be on the autox course, but I will definly show up
