Usually near schools they try to ticket anyone going a little faster. so just be careful around there but keep the steady pace everywhere else.

I understand that there is a school there - so obviously it is a "school zone".. but where I am originally from, there is no speed difference and no signs saying to slow down or caution... and where I live now and where I work, whenever there is a school zone there are signs that clearly say "School Zone" and give a speed limit with flashing lights and signs with times for when you have to follow the 25mph limit. In the town I work they actually have a speed radar that shows you how fast you are going and if you are going over 3mph faster than the limit it has a strobe light that blinks until you slow down. The reason I say I don't understand how it is a school zone is because about 200yrds in front of the alleged school zone sign is the 55mph sign (right before the school is a small town that is 40mph). Also, just the way he said "fly through there" makes it sound like I was doing 40+mph through there.. which would only make since to give me a ticket.. but 5mph???

in ohio in our books it is stated that all school zones are 20 mph unless posted other wise, and yes they can ticket you for 1 over...thats a common misconecption, cops usually dont care about 5 over. glad you got off though.
