Time out you all... I have been through countless trainging about DU. The **** is still active just not as bad if it weren't. Yes the stuff is still used to this date on the tanks and the ammo they use. If you actully get near one yes ur kinda ****ed. They are used also in the sable rounds fired from the M1 Abrams tanks. Im not sure about the apache with there .50 cal tough.

 

The A-10 also uses depleted uranium rounds in its 30mm GAU-8 Avenger 7 barrel gatling gun. It's possible that the Apache has the same type of rounds since it's gun is also a 30mm not a .50 cal.
