Do you know the cost of a good silencer? Its almost the price of the gun! Chances are if your beating up women for purses, your packing some POS saturday night special that you picked up for a benjamin. A potato isnt such a bad idea then is it?

 

Actually, to get a silencer you need an FFL(Federal Firearms License) and they're banned in most counties.
However for $3-400 you can get a "suppressor" but all it does is hide the flash and does nothing for sound suppression.

I notice you don't have a flash suppressor on your ak. Maybe that's why you don't know what it does. A flash suppressor for an ak costs about seven bucks,that's what I paid for mine at a gun show, and it does not hide the flash. It disperses the flash away from the shooters eyes to prevent temporary blindness from the muzzle flash at night. Military people sometimes have to shoot at night. The liberal news media is responsible for the misinformation,as usual, calling it a flash hider in an attempt to make it sound ominus. The pistol grip and the high capacity magazine was targeted by them also. Thanks to G.W.B. we no longer have to put up with such nonsense. If you want to add a flash suppressor to your ak you will need a 14mm x1.o left hand thread die and follower available from Brownells gunsmithing supplies. They will send you a free catalog. Dealers at gun shows still have a good suppy of flash suppressors. The follower is necessary to keep the die straight while cutting the threads. The die is about sixty dollars and the follower is about twelve. You can thread your buddies barrels for a fee and re-coop the cost. You can drill and tap the flash suppressor for a set screw to hold it in place on the barrel ( it could unscrew itself otherwise ) or use loctite on the threads.
