it kinda sucks that everyone pissed somebody off THAT much to make them not even want to browse around this forum....not to say he didn't post some vague/iffy information, but come on.....

Seriously though guys. Some of us need to be nicer to new/newer/all other members. Just because they don't know as much as you doesn't mean they're any stupider. There was one point when you knew as much as them and hoped you wouldn't be made fun of.

Oh people dont understand that. They get all cocky cause they have added a $500 suspension or a junkyard turbo setup to their car and all of a sudden they are on top of the food chain.

We still made fun of Flipasaurus and Greddy_Smurfic... and others. I guess now they had to take that hidden anger out on someone else...lol.

even if members are posting false info its against the rules to bash them or flame them. Point out where they are wrong and BACK YOURSELF UP with facts!!!!

Let the staff handle any issues of rule violations

Kevin, I wholeheartedly agree. Are you encouraging members to push the Report Button whenever flaming is observed? This is an incredibly important issue that, if not dealt with expeditiously, will undermine recent progress made by this otherwise great forum.

Moderators and Administrators have the authority to quash bad behavior and should continue to work toward accomplishing this important goal. Nonetheless, in my opinion, HCF members should also participate. I would ask senior HCF members who observe unnecessary flaming or rudeness to post a short polite comment that condemns the behavior. Note that such comments must not flame the flamer, as this would add to rather than help the problem; however, if you feel unable to post a non-inflammatory response, you should refrain from commenting and instead push the Report Button.

In this way, both staff and members could present a united front against rude behavior so that all new members may comfortably seek and give advice on HCF. If successful, HCF has the opportunity to become the BEST Civic forum on the web.

this is the first forum i ever joined and didn't even know a Search existed within the forum. I got bashed a few times, but once i learned the importance or stickies and the search feature, it all gets better. Lately noobs have been flamed super hardcore it seems, i have probably done it myself, but it's not that we're PISSED AND IRATE, but more like annoyed having to time the same information over and over and over again.....

not to say its right though. Every single person on this forum had to start somewhere, and when you get welcomed into the Civic world by getting flamed about not searching around a forum, it leaves a bad taste in there mouth.

And Gene i just hang around to hate you
