The Honda Civic...Number 1 **** starter.
So here I am...trying to figure out what to do.
My car is THE biggest **** starter in the world.
Since i've owned it,it has been broken into 4 times.
People (carjackers)drive by and look my car up and down like they're gonna do something.
Frankly I'm getting tired of this...it may be time to sell the girl...what do you think?

Dont spend the loot on an alarm........make a custom one........run a switch inline with your fuel pump power wire. (hide it of course).........then when u park turn it off.......the car wont start cuz the fuel pump gets no power..........so if ur cars stock, the worste ull have is a broken window or so.......no ones goin to steal stock hubbies.......and smart ppl dont keep cash or credit cards in their cars...........
maybe put some razor blades under the dash.....so when theyre goin for ignition wires they get something else......but then uve got some stained carpet...........WELCOME TO HONDACIVICFORUM.COM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

The fuel cut off switch is a great idea, but you can really beat a well installed alarm. My alarm for example has an ignition cutoff relay built into it, so unless it is unlocked from the remote, even cutting the power wont engage it, they have to jump it from way back to the main harness going into the engine bay to hot wire it.
^ that kinda crap wouldnt go far. in South Carolina. First off if you are a thief, you are breaking and entering. In my state technically, you could get away with killing somebody for trying to roll off in your car.
Speaking of breaking and entering, I have had several cops here tell me if someone breaks in your house, shoot them dead, dont blow their knees off, literally kill them to aviod any stupid yuppie/liberal mumbo jumbo sueing.

I'll give you one hint about the other 10%, they are below the mason dixon line
In fact, I just found this on askthelawguy.com
A friend put fish hooks under his dash, to prevent his stereo from being stolen again. Sure enough about 2 days later he came out and found a man with his hand stuck under his dash. (He was trying to steal the stereo). When the police came, they arrested the man, and then they arrested my friend for setting up a "Man Trap". Can they do this??
We don't have a similar law in North Carolina, but in general it is not legal to booby-trap your property to prevent theft. I don't have any sympathy for the stereo thief, but real life is not "Home Alone." A person who set a trap could be sued by the injured person or prosecuted for assault. There are numerous cases where a person rigged a gun to shoot any intruder and when an intruder was killed, the owner had serious legal problems. Booby-traps are illegal because (in the case of a gun) the person setting it is effectively imposing a death sentence on someone just for housebreaking.
I hope your friend can avoid a conviction, but he needs to find another way to defend his stereo.

in 90% of the states of our fair country, unless the thief is posing a threat to your life you are not allowed physically engage them, in fact killing them is often manslaughter.
