honda thieves?
was just wondering if many people have had their civic or parts off of it stolen. I can see stealing a newer civic, but would thieves even bother with a 90's civic? also what location where you in when it happened?
Mine actually just got jacked.
Hav..HAD a 90 civic hatch. JUST finished V8 RWD conversion. Someone took it last night. Dunno how the hell I didn't hear it leave!! Its FREAKING LOUD!
And thieves prefer 90 model civics. Less **** to stop them from stealing it. And the tumblers are worn out, so they can use a set of about 5 different keys. One of them will open your door, and get your **** turned on.

I live in BFE man. I'm sittin on 5 acres. My neighbors would have just thought it was me. I hope I do get it back. I just put 3 months of custom fab into that car! Fully re-enforced with roll cage and tube chassis! All my friends in the city are watching out for it. Called the cops. I guarantee they only heard ' stolen Honda ' and stopped caring. I hope the SOB who's driving it wraps it around a tree and dies! I hate thieves!
yeah theives love 90's honda's if you research steve meade you'll find out he is a rich car audio enthusiast even has his own forum anyhow his civic was stolen a while ago but he got it back and its better than ever

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK that sux!
Because I was going to put up a vid instead. Going to do a teaser and just show the car running. Cam'd out, running hooker headers and glasspack exhaust. Simply MEAN. People would have started hating, saying I was just puttin the V8 sound on the clip.
THEN I was going to show a video of a burnout or drift or something, followed by interior and motor.
The thing isn't even done yet! There's next to no floor in the thing! I tack welded on a bent piece of 14guage onto the tube chassis and the old frame. It sat under the pedals, and went to the seat. And the seat is just tacked! Spent like 5 minutes and made a ghetto *** cluster for the gauges out of wood. I mean, the thing needs about two more weeks to be a fully functional car. The damm carb wasn't even dialed in yet.
Thats what I get for making something nice.

that sucks...
but ya any honda before 2001 i believe are stolen more since they dont have the newer oem imobilizers. when some manufactures started using them it stoped ALOT of thefts from those joy rider bastards...
the more pro guys will simply use a tow truck or flatbed and strip the newer ride since its to much hassle to trick the computers.
and theft can happen anywhere! your best prevention is park it in your garage if you have one, and full coverage insurance so its not a total loss IF/WHEN it happens.
