i have a 2000 civic si and i was just wonderin how much hp it has stock? all i have performance is a sri and cat back anyways...i know the new 06 si's are suppose to have 190hp.

well, ill make my si keep up with the new ones. oh yea, and by the way, the reason i was wondering is because my friend is gonna be getting a 06 mustang ( v6 ) and he thinks he will blow me away. the v6 has 210 hp. could i keep up with him?

 

I think with a few minor mods, your Si would blow his filly away!

 

i plan on getting a aem v2, evo2 or magnaflow, dc sports header, aem pulley kit, aem fuel rail, and a few other little engine mods within a year. right now, im saving for subs and an amp but he will be getting an automatic probably anyways.

 

a stock SI will kill a v6 stang. with a decent driver.

 

well hes kinda a rich boy and his parents are gonna buy this car...so hes lookin at v8's now cause hes scared of me! lol

 

Buying a v6 is just wrong. I've had... hmm... 3 v8's in my time... the thought of owning the same car with a v6 is pointless.

And, if it's any consolation... the v8 mustangs are slow, too! Unless its a brand new one... thoes are pretty speedy.

 

he would be getting a used 05 v8 if he got a v8, if he gets a v6, he will be getting a brand new 06.

 

The 06' Si has roughly 197 hp @ 7800 rpm's from a K20Z3.
