God today sucked, it took me 4 yes count them 1,2,3,4 hours to get my D15B out of my sedan. Between not being able to get to the rear mount as the engine was pushed back to the right front corner of the car being actually wrapped aroung the front lower mount it completely sucked ***. It has never took me that long to get a engine out of a civic. I was a bit pissed at about the 2 hour mark. It is done though. 14 Bud Lights, beat up and cut hands, and alot of bs later it is done. Through the week I am going to start on all the little stuff like putting the IM on, taking my flywheel to get resurfaced, and finishing my DIY stiff motor mounts and with any hope the engine will be in next weekend. Sorry I did not take any pics but the last thing I wanted to do was run in and get my cam then have to take the S.O.B. to wally world to get the pics put on disc.

I get the engine in next weekend and I am taking about a week or 2 off from working on it, it is all I have been doing in my spare time and I am getting frustrated with it. Plus I am going to the drag races at bristol as they are having the spring nationals. $100 for the whole weekend but hell nothing like watching cars go 3 seconds in the 1320 at 300+mph.

 

Yea, I hear ya. Sometimes ya just gotta let it sit, and make yourself get anxious to get back to work on it. Its like a new fresh start.

 

i was going to say it but then i would have jinxed the install..... if it is one thing i have learned working on cars NEVER say that "it should be ok" ..... i hope saying that won't kinx it for ya, sucks that the removal took so long... but like Pete said it will be like a fresh start when you start up again

 

I hate that stupid rear mount.

yeah i got some prothane motor mounts on my civic and they work pretty good...

 

I am doing a DIY stiff mount. You can do it by using "Window Weld" from Advanced Autoparts.

damn marty hope you have better luck with the rest of the work and you are right the back mount sucks a##

 

I git my digi at Wal-mart for like 120 should look into that and gettin a dock.
