Is actually simple. It comes from the same origin as the explanation point with 1's with it. Example : OMG!!!!11!!1!!! . Its nothing but a typo. The term "Pwnt/Pwn/Pwned" simply comes from "ownt/own/owned". It was typo'ed so much that the "leet" (1337) group adopted it. Questions?

Well, seeing that I've got sausage fingers I can see how someone would smack the "p" instead of the "o" when typing "owned".
