I'm back too
Might as well check in since everyone else is. I'm back, getting ready to do more maintenance to the old Civic. Seems like everyone else is getting 8th or 9th gen Civics. I'm still rocking the old EK.
My love for the car has faded. It's a daily driver and grocery getter at this point. I haven't detailed the interior since the wreck like 18 months ago. The leather in the rear is still covered in bark from when I hauled firewood in the back seat. The front body panels are still misaligned from the budget rebuild. The paint is chipping from the rear lip. My CD player has given up after 8 years. I had been rocking the same Alpine since 2005 when I had the 92 Civic. I haven't cared enough to even plug the stock one back in.
I'm about to get another camber kit for the left rear so that can finally be aligned properly and I can stop killing tires. I stopped replacing tires and really even stopped rotating them a long time ago. They are so severely and unevenly worn that every daily commute involves a dull roar from the wheels. My left front developed a sidewall defect after hitting a common Arkansas pothole so I had to switch to the full size spare, which is the worst worn of all 5 tires. Once the camber kit gets here, I'm getting a new set of Kumho Solus KH-18s. Cheap, all season, will make my 30 minute daily commute quieter. I'm getting away from the 205/50's and going back to 195/55's as well. No need for aggressive tires anymore because my plans for this car are done for.
Guess I'll get an oil change since I'm due too. 22,000 miles on the new engine in 18 months... whew. Otherwise, boring, nothing new to report.

sup everyone, figured id highjack this thread , i still lurk around. more into building jeeps now since there is so much more to do and alot more fun, also the jeep crowd arent douches like alot of the honda fanny boys. i sold all my tegs and civic except for one. i use it to DD and cheap on gas. just recently stretched my wheel base on my wrangler 12in and swapped the stock axles out from a 89 wagoneer and put d44's front and rear under my wrangler. my grand cherokee now has lockers and tsl tires. working on building tube bumpers for front and rear, recently got some nice trail damage on my rockers.
