Anyone have an "iPod Movie"? How do you like it? Whats the whole movie deal? Does it play real movies, or just home made stuff?

 

Its called the ipod video. I have one. I actually don't find the video feature that good. What you have to do is take any video/movie you have and convert it to a MP4 then you can transfer it to your ipod.

 

Its ok, but you do have to remember that the screen is only three inches big. And yeah converting everything sucks, but hey it has a lot of space for music.

 

The only problem i had with my ipod was it took a crap on me after i used it for like 3 days. Got a new one and its been working fine since i got it replaced. I-tunes pissed me off when i first started to use it and i think its overly complicated. Good for music though.

 

^ Dude if you think that iTunes is complicated i would hate to see you use some other programs, and actually the original iPod video has a 2.5" screen .... and dont argue with me about that cause i work with them everyday.

and to let people in on a little secret there is a program on the internet called Xilisoft, that you can get and it converts video file into iPod format. (but you have to "pay" for it) and by pay i mean crack lol

 

There's a free app called Videora (click the link to go to the site). It actually converts everything to ipod, psp and xbox 360 formats. I havent used it yet but it is recommended by Digital Life. I think it's worth a try.

 

I just got a bunch of videos from google and put it on there. No converting needed. I'm not really picky with what I have on there though. Just a bunch of clips of Rally crashes, motorcycle races, and drag strips.

 

I can use itunes fine now but the first time i looked at it i was like wtf. Mind you i don't read instructions or anything.

 

I got the 80g ipod video in black... buy cucusoft or get videora for free... I have all the Office episodes, Heroes, Prison Break, Stick It!, Spiderman1 and 2... video quality is amazing... I dont know wht they are talking about.. incredible quality on the little screen. You have to get the new Itunes for the new ipods to work and the new i tunes is soo nice. It loads up all the album art for you. I have all my pictures of my wife on it, you just sync the pic files to ipod and it does it all for you! ipods are wonderful things!

Also LimeWire makes the files Ipod ready... home videos are needing to be converted and they are nice to have for trips away from family...

 

Yeah cucusoft converts them real fast, but you must buy (crack) it first.
