This is probably a one time deal, but I like what supersize said... contact someone higher up.
Hell they could always fire him and hire another black guy... then if the guy tries to sue on the basis of race the court will throw out his case.

 

Been in a very similar position man. At American Airlines. Had two guys from Africa. They use to act stupid, and like they didn't understand english that well. We were always short handed, and I had to pick up there slack. Had to deal with it for about 6 months. In that 6 month period, the guys managed to mess up a lot of job essential equipment, put bags on the wrong planes, and one managed to get himself killed. You can't pull the 220V power supply out of the airplane without turning it off first.
I nearly quit. I was the new hire on the ramp, and I was the only one that got into every single airplane. Got into every single pit and stacked bags. I was the only one who either pushed back the airplanes or wingwalked, and marshaled in the airplanes - all of them. I was the only one to do 90% of the job.
Then, I got a promotion that I didn't see coming. They made me crew chief, I was suddenly the boss. I still did everything I did, but I could finally write people up. 2 weeks later, the problem was gone and my job was great. Got new people and things just came together.
It may look bad to you now. Just let the D-bag POS do what he's doing. He will get his. Karma is a cold hard b!tch. As long as you do you, you'll come out ahead.

The problem is that the university is currently $1.5M in the hole. There's a hiring freeze. No one is getting hired or fired because they need everyone. We've complained all the way up to the chief. We've complained to Human Resources. The next step is the Vice Chancellor but he's always busy and out of the office. And he would likely refer us to HR.

We had this one kid in school who acted like a gangster all the time and thought because he was black he could play b-ball better than everybody else and when he got beat would then start stuff with them and would get into a fight and get beat-up then sue. well finally he picked a fight with the wrong kid and got the **** beat right out of him and he tryed to sue and didn't win and then never came back to school.

Don't take me as racist I am by no means racist. Ha ha shoot I've got 3 black cousins a mexican cousin and 3 japaneese cousins and my cousin, sister and uncle are all dating asians of one type or another. But it does **** me off when (usually black) people use the race card and the only racist person is them. Or the "I was opressed." no they were never opressed and I never owned slaves nor did my ancestors infact my ancestors fought for the north in the civil war ive even got a gun my great great great uncle used in the war.

i agree with ronj. dont let that guys situation decrease your work ethic. it sounded like you had a good one before this whole situation, and i think you should go back to it. theres some people that need excuses. im spanish and i have never used tthe race card. if im wrong im wrong. that race card ish is bull. if you work at a college, which i guess you do, go past the security higher ups, and talk to the schools president or something. explain to them what he is doing and how bad it can be if something can happen(i.e. girlfriend falls from the atv, someone gets hurt because he failed to make the call of importance and took his time) things like that would make them ignore the race card. or find a black dude looking for a job that looks like he has a good work ethic hire him, and fire the other guy.
