Ok so i just DL'ed their new album to give it a test before i spent the money on it. and all i have to say it... Save you $20 and get beer. you will enjoy the beer, the beer will satisfy you and you will figure it money well spent. Now i hate to say this cause i really like them, but thier new album is ****ing EMO!!!! i lie not, all the songs are whinney, annoying, and half of them have lyrics about cutting or killing youself. only one song out of the entire album has any sort of rock in it. the rest are terrable. and i do mean terrable.

Oh and to put how disappointed i am in their new album i have only this to say, i haven't been this disappointed in an album sin Metallicas St. Anger... yeah... i went there

 

Thier last couple of albums were horrible and they are all a bunch of ******** (I've met them in person).

 

i liked their first album, and Meteora, but this was total garbage

Yeah you have probably hear "what i've done" on the radio or on your music channel, i would have to say that is the best song on there

 

Oh god. That is the best on the whole of the CD? What the hell happened to them? Its kinda like Tools 10,000 Days. Half the album was chanting and noise. WTF is happening????

First time I listen to it, it sounds like crap. But after 3 times, I started to like it, LOl.

 

I thought Meteora was crap.. It was like refurbished swill from thier first album. I liked the album more before it actually came out, seeing the dvd they had where they showed how they helped create the album art, thier fan club was great and I was really into them, really excited about the album. Then it got released and it was really sub-par and didn't progress thier sound or style at all. They didn't sound better, thier lyrics weren't any more well written and if anything they just seemed to get.. worse.

Then I got to see them live and meet them. They sounded even worse live.. you can tell they digitally alter and clean thier vocals and sound up for thier albums. I mean I don't expect a live show to sound like a copy of the album, but they didn't sound anything like I was hoping, usually I like live shows BETTER than the albums and they thoroughly disappointed me. When I got to meet them I could tell how even more fake they were... they treated the fans like cattle and didn't even hardly pay attention to any of us. The "meeting" was just 100 or so fans (most of which who waited in the rain for hours to be the first 100 in line for this so called priviledge) getting hearded by the band as they sat at a banquet table simply to autograph one item (yes they even limited how many items we could get signed.. and it was a pathetic 1 item). Total face time was 30 seconds or so at the most and if you tried to linger a bit you got rushed along. You barely got to say 2 words to any of them and they hardly even acknowledged you anyway. I think I got one or two of them to even look up from the table. Hanh was the worst... he was just a complete dismissive *****.

I was slowly starting to dislike them, but my experiences with them hurried things along a lot faster. I know a lot of local musicians and few widely known ones and I've never had such a horrible experience with any of them. Linkin Park is the worst kind of two faced label puppets ever.

 

you did not just say that...

when you buy a tool album you have to be completely ready for that kinda stuff...10,000 days was great, definatly their second best after lateralus. Tool albums are a total package, music, cover art and some weird little interludes that connect all the songs together. deal with it.
