Look at what I found!!!
If I had the money and lived closer, I'd take it off your hands. Not that I think it would even fit in my engine bay (I wouldn't be able to fit a small child in my engine bay so I assume the turbo wouldn't fit lol), but I think it'd make a bada** table if you could figure out how to get a sheet of glass to stay on it. And you know me... I'd figure out a way
*edit: CAR LOVER'S DINING SET! Turbo table complete with car seats modified to be regular chairs
*edit #2: actually, it'd make a better coffee table. Change the regular chairs to "recliners" and you're in business
*edit #3: how the f**k were those ninja edits? That second one was a good 2 minutes after I posted.
*edit #4: ok, there we go. I have the "edit" timestamp now

I'm thinking clock the turbo so the manifold flange on the turbine side is facing all the way down and the compressor snout is laying on the ground like it is now, with one of the oil line fittings facing up. Then find some threaded rods that thread into the oil line fitting holes, and work something out to support the glass coming off the threaded rods (a flat piece of metal welded to the rods would work but would obstruct the view of the turbo)... I'm thinking maybe something with plexiglass, but I don't know what yet. Ideally, you'd want to be able to disassemble everything to make it easier to clean/move, but you want a way to attach the glass so it's nice and solid (especially given your young ones running around). If I think of something that would work well, I'll let you know
Jesus... I should've been an engineer
*edit: figured out how to mount the plexiglass. Get two nuts for both of the threaded rods. Cut the rods off at the desired height (I'd make them just a little taller than the turbo), measure everything out, and drill two holes for the rods to go through the plexiglass, but either use washers or make sure the hole isn't so big that the nuts can slide through. Now, put one nut on each rod, with the top of the nut where you want the plexi to be. Lay the plexiglass in place (rods through the holes) and tighten the leftover nuts down on top. Now I have to figure out a way to mount the glass. Gimme a minute or two
