Okay so my longt time domestic friend has finally bought an import, a 95 Mitsubishi Mirage its got a 1.8L SOHC. And I have done some research and I can't find any aftermarket support for it, anyone want to lend a hand to help me find parts for it? It is also the LS coupe.

Any help?

 

take the 4g63 motor and drop it in there an put some bolt ons on it and you will have a REALLY fast little car there

 

^^ Thats adds another twist my friend does not like doing motor swaps, becasue as he puts it your no longer working with the car in its entirety He wants to know what you can do with the 1.8L SOHC

 

he can boost it, I seen a 1st gen eclipse that had a 1.8 sohc at the track about a month and a half ago and was in the low 14's. I think all the turbo stuff from a 4g63 will work on it but dont quote me. But in all honesty he would be better off buying a 4g63 6 bolt swap as they are like stupid cheap even complete with the turbo setup and all.

 

IIRC the Mitsu Mirage is the exact same car as the Dodge Colt, and soem sort of Eagle.. but i can't remember the name.

 

my buddy here in town has a mirage. It's a little two door green one with a sticker that says got rice? on the back. One of the fastest cars in town.....when he's on the bottle. It's a 5 speed with the original engine. he sprays the **** out of that little car, and it flies! I've seen him beat some mustang GT's and such. I believe he shoots a 100 shot direct port injection. Now my brother has a ZEX kit I'll sell him for $275 plus shipping. All your friend would need is a nitrous solenoid and the fogger. I think you can get that stuff from ZEX pretty cheap($25-$50) pm me if you want more info

 

saw one for sale in town and it's and Eagle Summit. neat cars. not for me though

 

my brother in law had a single cam mivec mirage also known as the technica. he got the motor from P.R. and ported and polished the head. it was pretty quick.
