Default My car luck with cars **PICS**

lets start from the begining. I carpool to school with two friends. I drove today and when I went to pick her up she had a coffee cup. I hate people eating and drinking in my car so I made a big deal about it and how she was going to spill and I was gonna be pissed. Anyways about halfway to school on Hanson blvd (famous traffic road) traffic goes from 45 to 0. I stop, the guy behind me stops and then BAM! Huge screeches and all that stuff and the 3rd guy plows into the guy behind me who then plows into me. Luckily I had left the appropriate following distance so I didnt hit the car infront of me. Although I was real close. Anyways it turns out they were all classmates of mine. Total between the 3 cars was about 10 kids. The damn punk that crashed had a full car. Imagine that. Long story short we backed up the road for probably 2 miles and I missed 20 mins of my Statistics class. Now to the damage. Thankfully the five star crash rating was true. My rear bumper is a little wavy and the paint chipped off. Previous owner must have cheap macco painted it. Oh yeah, the back seat has coffee all over it![:@] Both of the other cars were smashed pretty bad. Luckily my new exhaust faired well. I have gotten two estimates so far and both are around $600. I will get some pics up tonight

Sorry to hear man. I hate when someone ahead brakes all of a sudden and causes a chain reaction like that. [:@] Good luck getting everything fixed.

Yeah that sucks! I just checked into having my bumper replaced and a new one from honda was only 180 bucks. So it shouldn't be to bad.

Yup. The bumper is $190 from the dealer. Its the primer and paint and installation that kills. Plus they cant see behind it to know if there is more damage or not.

i dont remember 100% correctly...but i want to say the third guy's insuarance should cover all three of you. im pretty sure since he made the initial impact he is at fault because he wasnt keeping a good spacing and, therefore, 'driving recklessly' (at least im pretty sure it falls under that).

True. I was in a four car mess about like that with my first Civic. I got rear ended at around 55, took out me and two cars in front of me. The person that makes the inital impact is liable for all the damage to all the cars. That's how I ended up with my black Civic.

+1 ^, you should be coverd...but that sucks, i have had a couple times like that with people slamming there brakes on and it scared the crap out of me, a couple times i have had to put my brakes on and go off to the sholder because i no my ABS would kick in and go slamming into the guy infront of me.

i never bring drinks or food in my car eather...
