College... we didn't even have a mechanical shop in highschool. Now I have access to several shops, 3 or 4 CNC machines, a couple carbon fiber ovens, two wind tunnels, AWD chassis dyno, engine dyno, enviromental chamber... pretty much everything professional car manufactorers do.

Too bad I can't use any of the facilites for my car.[:@]

It isn't cheap to run an auto class. The equipment is super expensive. At my school, we use the same stuff that professional mechanics use and we have so much test equipment and stuff it is amazing. Every time i ask my teacher how much the stuff costs, i'm amazed.

that's the way almost everything is in the real world today, I work for a plumbing/heating/septic company. When we come onto a job site, we easliy bring $700,000, just to dig a hole/trench for ****/crap/poop.

either next year or the year after myf riend and i are taking an auto tech class. its an EFE class so if you take the class you can usually get employed by whatever your course was over more easily than without.

its a 2 hour class every day so we'll be done with basic maintinence within the first 9 weeks...so i guess i wont be able to sleep as much as i was hoping.

I was talking to a friend of mine that is in auto in at another school. His school has a body shop as well as one for mechanics type stuff. He is a Jr. and i'm a Sr. His school has a freaking paint booth. I still know more about cars than he does and i got a really good teacher too. It happens that we are both 2nd year auto students, his school has a 3 year program.
