My new peacemaker!!
I kindof understand what you guys are talking about, but on the other hand i don't. Guns are tools, made of plastic and metal. That same argument can be applied to anything that can cause physical damage/death (which is pretty much anything). You guys are missing a big thing that kills/injures more people then guns a year. That is cars! I have been to way more deaths due to accidents than i have been shooting scenes/death calls that are gun related. You guys are pretty much saying that this target audience on this website should not be seeing guns, yet to legally obtain one you have to be 21 and pass a background check. To legally be able to drive on a public road, you only need to be 16 and pass a short driving test. A vehicle is the more dangerous instrument out there now. We see more kids doing stupid stuff in vehicles and getting hurt than we see them being stupid with guns.
Which is more dangerous????
a 3000lbs vehicle which is driven on a public road, or a 2lbs gun
Which is more dangerous????

Which is more dangerous????
a 3000lbs vehicle capable of doing 100+ mph which is driven on a public road, or a 2lbs gun

1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
4. Know your target and what is beyond.
we're not saying that gun ownership is bad. We're just agains people seying "hey, I've got a new gun. Check it out". I for one am not anti-gun, in fact the city of Philadelhpia pisses me off for making the process of getting one so painful, but I for sure would never post about me finally getting one.
Give me a break! Are you kidding me,making that comparison? There is not the Charles Schulmers, Daine Fienstiens, Sarah Bradys, Clintons, you name the Liberal Democrat, trying like hell to take away your right to own or drive a car. Not too many people use a vehicle to purposefully kill another person or to rob a convenience store. Day to dayrisks of driving a car are much more of an issue to a 16 or 17 yesr old. No argument there. The point is that guns unfortunately have a negative stigma associated with them. Mostly ignorant, uniformed people have come to the self serving conclusion that gun ownership by legal, law abiding ctizens should be banned. They have interpreted the Second Ammendment for their own agenda. The hell with the statistics which show that an armed citizenship is a safer citizen and experiences significantly LESS crimes. Gun possession in Washinfton, DC is totally illegal so why are they in the top 10 for murder rate in the country? Killing each other with wet noodles? They don't even believe the findings that their own bureaucracy finds ( ATFB ). While everyone is entitled to their opinions, IMHO, it is just NOT a good idea to flaunt gun ownership to young , impressionable youth, PERIOD.
As an aside, say some azzzhole now knows you have a gun or two or three. Two things could happen.
One, the person has a confrontation with you but now knows your packing ( thanks to your own admission)so he packs just to even the score. You may not even have your gun with you but he doesn't know that. See ya!!
Two. Same dude knows you own guns since you freely admitted to it. Ahhh, I know where I can go to STEAL some guns. Too bad for you!!
I dont know about you, butI rather have the element of surprise in my favor. You get out of your car with a baseball bat. Good for you, I got my 9 . Or name any situation. Can you see where I'm going with this?
Cars and guns the same? Bring a gun to high school instead of your car. I think different things will happen as a result.
If you are a peace officer, go to your first shirt and ask his opinion of broadcasting ownership of a weapon of any kind, let alone a gun, or ask if they think it'sokay to show to the world what your "back-up" piece is.
In your home town , potentially , everybody knows that the guy with the silver stang has not one but a least two guns on him and one is Glock 9. So much for stealth!!
Just a few more observations by a lifer NRAwith concealed carryand FFL licensure. ( Only mentioned so you dont think I am one of those STUPID anti-gun liberal fanatics )
Just keep your **** to yourself is my advise. Do with it what you will.
