there is a company in the states that makes the swap kits for the k series. i heard that they had a problem with overheating on track days though, compared to the toyota engine which never heated up at all

 

Yeah I can see why it would over heat but they must have engineered round it, problem with the toyota engine is that its only available in newer and more expensive models and it doesnt take well too mod's, the k20a ruin's the 190vvti

 

there was a turboed 1.8 toyota (US MODEL) in Sport Compact Car, and it was quite amazing which would be a much easier and cheaper than a whole swap kit and engine, but just as much fun

 

Yeah but then it wouldnt be a honda! Its not really cheaper if you swap the k20 into the older elise.
