It's all about useless expenses that we pay. They all add up. It's not "little bit" that is spent on welfare and those very nice grants and subsidized college loans. It's hundreds of millions.

 

they are passing a law here, georgia has already passed it, you must pass random drug tests to recieve welfare.

 

^this, i've been saying they should do this for years.

 

ok but the system is ****ed up aswell. i have congestive heart failure, if i was to go work, wether it be 2 hours, or 200 hours, they would cut me off of my health insurance instantly.. My medications alone cost a couple grand a month. so if i went and got a job, even if it was full time and a **** ton of overtime, i still wouldnt be able to afford my meds. what would you do? and about the college thing, the money's there, im taking it. idgaf. why get loans and pay it back when the government is giving it away. if the government offered you thousands of dollars, you wouldnt take it? i was raised by a single mother who got injured at work back in 2007, from what i learned, you gotta do what you gotta do to pay the rent.. and if that means taking hand outs, im all for it.


THANK YOU! listen everyone, instead of that donation to haiti, lets give it to GM or one of the thousands of US based businesses that are failing and cutting peoples jobs. if everyone in america gave their donations to the US, we would be good. We are in debt sooo bad right now with china, lets pay them off. i feel for haiti but we have our own problomes.

they need to do this everywhere. seriously. if you got money for drugs, you can buy food with that.

The "hood"?...Hmm, I don't think Pittsburgh has any "hoods" that could compare to where i used to live...I used to live just outside one of the worst towns in the country. Ever hear of Gary, Indiana?
Its one of the worst places to live and is MUCH worse than the "hoods" of Pittsburgh that i believe you are referring to.
