Default Need some help on a project

so i have to do a PowerPoint presentation on anything about computers. so i decided to do my project on automobile ECU's. Like the difference from obdo all the way to obd2. but i couldnt find much info on obd0. i im just going to do the difference between obd1 and obd2. first slide will be what obd stand fors and what years obd1 was for and what years obd2 is for. then i will go into how to get codes from the different obds. and the last part will be how they differ. and this is where i need help. how do they differ. is one more descriptive then the other? more technical? just alittle confused.

obd0 is a stanard operating system that just requires the basics to run a vehicle. the obdo has its own built in diagnostics, the obd1 operating system is a little more advance in controlling the engine and for its diagnostics you can jump the ecu for self diagnostics mode or plug a obd1 scanner but for the obd1 each car company has a different scanner
the obd2 systems is the most advanced engine mangement system and is has a self diagnostics or a unversial obd2 port to plug any obd2 scanner up.
the obd2 system requires alot more sensors to run the engine compared to any of the other obd systems which helps in diagnostics when needed.

for the obd0 years depends on the vehicle but most of them are 91 and below
the obd1 came out for most of the 92 upto the 95
all vehicles made from 96 and up are obd2

thanks for the info mitch. i actually used this as a reference lol. but now i have alittle more info i need.

are there any new advacements on obd2 systems. like connecting them to a computer and being able to see everything happen real time. like how much air is coming in and fuel going out and all that other info?

edit: nvm i remembered that people go from obd2 to obd2 to tune and stuff. finished my project already.
thanks for the help
