i am just thinking of getting a new car. i just crashed my ef my jeep takes to much gas. i am gonna start looking for a new car i think. i went to the local honda dealer, no new fits WTF!!! i wanted to test drive one. they have a 2 door civic 5spd lx on the lot for 17k, but the vw dealer has a left over 05 gti 1.8t for the same price as the civic just don't know what to do. can yall help me out.

 

VW gets no love from me....fits are fugly...get a civic

 

i test drove a fit sport auto and didn't like it i say for the money go with the civic cause the retail on a fit sport here in tn is $16,598 and you can get a lot more car for that price and you might want to check a 06 accord vp sedan 2.4 5-speed man my dad bought one it retailed for $18,700 he got it for $17,000 oh the reason i didn't like the fit overpriced and underpowered

 

i can get a fit for 14,400 the sticker price for a base model. the civic was 17,000 no extras, and the gti was loaded, with all the r32 **** added on for less than the civic at 16,500

 

I'd say spend a little more and get a 06 SI.

 

Id say get an SRT4 ACR, but I dont expect you to listen to me

 

I think the vw would be the most fun for sure not to mention it responds well to mods and from what Ive read from your post the vw has a better crash rating. The fit and civic you pretty much now what your going to get.

 

You can buy a lot of gas for the jeep with the price of a new car. But if you heart set on getting a new one I personally would go for the golf.

i heard the new vw's have transmission problems

i have a buddy who has a 04 and is on his 3rd transmissions, i think vws are hit or miss

its up to you man but im a honda guy all the way
