Default New Car Maybe - Integra

Hey guys, I have been off these forums for a while now.. but I finally might have found a new car. It is a 1998 Acura Integra with 120k clicks. Its silver, fully loaded, and the only mods is a brand new AEM CAI. The interior and exterior are both in mint condition. It also has a really nice tape deck and system. Anyways, I was trying to figure out what model of integra it is, the engine looks pretty big and the emblems on the car are in red. I took it for a test drive and was amazed by how much power the car had. It roared like crazy and the exhaust on it is stock, but it looks like a stock sports exhaust, meaning thicker and a little bigger than those tiny rusted ones the size of a coin, it was chrome also. The valve cover is black and says 16 valve something I believe. Idk if this info is useless or not, but I tried looking around on the inside of the hood for a model type and I couldn't find it, maybe I missed it. Also hes asking roughly $9000 CAD tax included and everything but I think ill try for $8000, what do you guys think? He had it at 8,900+tax and already lowered it down to 7,900+ tax so theres not too much room to play with.

correct me if I'm wrong, but if it doesn't say VTEC on the valve cover than it's either a gs or an ls?

Try for $7000. I'm just basing that on a buddy of mine who sold his GSR with 60K on in for $11000 in similar condition to the one you're considering.

Be sure to take into consideration taht the pricing and mileage are in Canadian and Kilometers, where your friend is in the states and it was in miles but $8000 for a 98 Integra isn't that bad, but if you can push for $7500. and if i recall correctly the LS has a B18B nonvtec in it

yeah this integra is in mint, I mean mint shape. The interior is incredible.. so I guess it's non vtec which is a bummer but it seemed to have soo much power and pick up I don't really mind. So it's either an LS or a GS I guess.. ill have to figure that out. Thanks guys,

all tegies after like 1990 had a b18 in them...before was the b16...
and dude to check your engine code, look at the engine from the front, look down beside the headers, look to the left side for a little plaque about 1.5x2 inches...on there it should say b18b, b18c, etc....
