ORIGINAL: BurryTheSpeedo

all tegies after like 1990 had a b18 in them...before was the b16...
and dude to check your engine code, look at the engine from the front, look down beside the headers, look to the left side for a little plaque about 1.5x2 inches...on there it should say b18b, b18c, etc....
Not perticularly true(i think) the 92-93 Integra GSR's had a B17A1 with VTEC it has 1678 cm3 of displacement a 10.0:1 CR with 160hp @ 7600rpm and 117 ft-lb @ 7000rpm

And the integra that you looking at wether it is a RS/LS/GS it has a B18B1 Displacement: 1834 cc Compression: 9.2:1 Power:142 hp (104 kW) @ 6300 rpm & 128 ft·lbf @ 5200 rpm

where can I check on the car to see if it's a GS, LS or RS?

EDIT:

Also, what is the SE model? And is it possible to take a b18b1 engine and making it VTEC?

Thanks,

TiCkEr

^^^^yeah you can do LS/VTEC...do know much about it though other than theory..
to do it, just get a b18c1 or c5 head and place it on your b18b1 block...but you have things like oil flow to worry about..

Ticker, not sure where you're located, or if you're willing to deal with the issues of buying a US registered car, but I know of a beautiful, clean, 233+whp teg for sale if you're interested PM me

Well I figured out it was an RS which is the base model, the only real difference between the RS and other models is that it doesn't have anti lock breaks. It also has a AEM CAI which I mentioned and an after market I/M not sure which brand and some headers but they look a little old. I'm gonna try for $8000 CAD firm tomorrow and not a cent more. I plan on turboing it anyways and I heard it's easier to tune a turbo on a RS LS or GS model over the GSR or Type R because they don't have VTEC.. that's the only plus side I can see without having VTEC.. even then.. I'd want VTEC. Here's a link to the autotrader page it's listed on:

http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/detai...5&adid=5282557

EDIT: Oh yeah so taking the AEM CAI intake on it plus the I/M and headers thats saving me upwards of $500 right there. It also has a real nice CD Deck and speakers in the rear which is also saving me a couple houndred bucks as well as window tint all around and a nice set of wheels, leaving me to sell my 15' Eagles from my old Hatch. So if I get the car for $8000 and it saves me spending around $1000 on parts later on, I think it would be a decent deal. (Remember it's in Canadian currency)
