I heard Mitsubishi was having troubles monetarily, but do you think theyll get bought out by an American company? Like a Diamlyer-Chrysler or a Ford?

ok so help me understand this chart MD. basically there are the major companies that are shown by that (gm, ford, diamler chrysler ect.) then some independants like porche and honda, and then the ones on the edges of each one are companies fully owned by the one in the middle. then the ones with a certain percet are owned that much by the one its attatched to. so like suzuki is owned 20% by GM and Mazda is owned 33% by ford. then kia is owned 100% by hyundai, then hyundai is owned 10.5% by Diamler Chrysler....

am i as close as i think or am i way off?

You are correct. You see like 10.5% of Hyundai is owned by Mitsu and that is why the tibby V6 engines are actually de-tuned 3rd Gen eclipse GT and GTS 3.0 V6's. Mazda trucks are powered by ford engines, the old 90/91 turbo'd 2.3 4 cyl Ford Probe GT's are actually Mazda engines from the older 323's. Audi's have VW engines, Fiat's and Isuzu's have GM engines, and the list goes on.

oh how about the renault/nissan thing. 15% of renault is nissan and 44.4% of nissan is renault? is that how it goes?

kinda like the same relationship between GM and Fiat
