that seriously blows. my dad had a harddrive with 300GB of photos on it running in RAID mode (safety mode for those who don't know; basically the data is written twice to both harddrives in case one fails), and BOTH just happened to stop working within 10 min of each other. we did everything you'd imagine to fix it, including the infamous freezer trick...lol.

we ended up paying a company $300 to get all the data back. well worth it though. there was probably 400,000+ photos there
