Unfortunately, many of us have been in or will be in a wreck at one point or another. We'll all get out and look at the damage and wonder if it's totalled. Why not share a little info on your experiences with accidents, insurance, etc?

Post up some pics and stories. Include the following info so it's useful to others:
1) The year and trim level of your car, like 2000 Civic EX 2 door
2) Mileage when the accident happened
3) Year the accident happened
4) Post some pics and tell if it was totalled or not, maybe include specific damage
5) You can post some pics of the car after the repairs if you want

 

2000 Civic DX 4 door, "55K" miles

In January of 2006 I was driving in the rain and some guy stopped at an intersection unexpectedly. I hit the brakes too hard and skidded into him. This was the result:










I needed a hood, headlights, fenders, bumper, grille, core support, radiator, header, paint, etc. Insurance did not total the car and it got rebuilt.

 

2000 Civic LX 4 door, 106K miles

In November of 2008 I made a left turn at an intersection and some woman decided to turn right on red, slamming into my passenger side.






Killed the door and quarter panel, popped my tire, toed in the suspension pretty bad. Insurance didn't total and it got fixed.

just got off work, heading home, just finished raining. going thro an intersection the light just turned yellow and a lady in on coming traffic decided to turn in front of me. this was an 80km zone. i didn't see her start to turn. head on. car totalled, recieved 3000$ for it. she got screwed. she was a dark skinned immigrant from the east, she was driving a car with the wrong plates on the car, no insurance and no drivers license. my door was unable to open, they had to get the jaws and heavy rescue. a sore shoulder for about 4 months, oppsite side of the seat belt. oh i just had 500$ worth of car fixing the day before.

just high front end damage. new radiator support and other body panels and such. also upgraded the front end to 99-00 when i repaired it as most of your know



I SWEAR IT WILL BE PAINTED this year.LOL its to cold and im to lazy at this time... i could have painted the new front end BUT the whole body is beat up from abuse so i decided to hold off for a full body repaint and color change!

 

Addiction, great job with the restoration. I wish you lived near me so that you could help with my repairs. And congrats on the well deserved recognition.

Good point, Addiction should self edit his writing and thoughts. Nonetheless, I truly believe Addiction is not a racist.
