KE = 1/2mv squared, m being mass, v being velocity/speed. i'm 135 lbs, if i'm going 55mph, that would be a phenomal amount of force at which i would hit the ground. also, my civic has four wheels, so if i hit something in the road, like a bump or a piece of trash, i'm not going to lose control of my car. the extra two wheels also help during crappy weather when the roads are wet and slick, or in dry weather when the roads have gravel or sand on them. not to mention the fact that in a rear-end collision, people don't typically fly 15-20 feet in the air from their car.

This would be a lame argument to support your reasoning. On the contrary, the director of operations at my work has been riding for 30 years and has never gone down. The chances of getting killed on a bike are far greater, don't get me wrong, but do you really feel the tin on our civics is going to do us much better?

it was all over the spanish channels. i was watching it while eating my rice and beans lol. the guy was drunk and yes he did hit them on purpose. he didnt know they were filming but didnt care. he never got charge with anything not even jail time. there authority is bad over there.

Yeah I saw this and was like, crazy stuff that happens on bikes and when they do, it's more than a simple accident. With that said, I still remember riding my first motorcycle. I was a little scared but it was awesome. It's still dangerous though.

Can nobody read spanish? it says on the video "ex garibaldi sergio mayer saved by miracle".although i agree that it is totally ridiculous for anybody to do that. I think that person should have to ride a bike and get run into to see how it feels. just my very tired opinion.
